So it’s pretty well known that my love of gingham is almost as significant as my love for stripes. Hopefully you aren’t tired of gingham (see this recent post) because I’m sharing another cute way to style it today!
This J.Crew Factory gingham shirt is one of the most versatile items in my closet. It looks great in summer with cut off shorts or a denim skirt, it’s perfect in winter under a sweater, and you can dress it up with a sparkly necklace and blazer for work. This particular shirt is nice and lightweight (and easy on the budget), which makes it perfect for all seasons and I’ve had mine for nearly two years, so I can attest to the fact that it’s pretty amazing quality for the budget-friendly price!
For this look, I paired my freshly ironed shirt (I HATE ironing, but the light cotton material of this top does wrinkle a bit more than other shirts I own) with a navy blazer, lightly faded denim, and cream accessories. A sparkly statement necklace adds a dressier touch – I love that the Audrey necklace feels lighter than some of my other pieces, which makes it much easier to wear. The mint green details also offer a subtle pop of colour.
My blazer is older, but I found some very similar options that are still available – a navy jacket like this can sometimes be a bit hard to find during the warmer months. (I’ve also linked my denim, shoes, and a similar bag in the Shop The Post section below – bear in mind, I cut the hems off my jeans myself.)
So there you have it – a gingham workday look. I’d say that this will be my last gingham post for a while, but I have a feeling that’s not true.
Enjoy the pretty things in life,
