At this point in Fall, it’s pretty obvious that I have major love for oversized, cozy sweaters. And frankly, given the damp and cool weather in Edmonton lately, I need them. In fact, it’s been so miserable that if you follow me on Instagram, you know that getting good outfit shots has been nearly impossible (which is partly why these shots are not my best ones ever – it’s just so dark and dreary. I need the sun to come back!) But this weather is perfect for warm layers that you can curl up in and this outfit definitely fits that bill.
This cozy and beautiful batwing sweater from SheIn is one of my new favourites, in part because the colour is so perfect for fall and also because I love the casual and comfortable vibe of the loose style. This sweater comes as one size fits all, which made me a bit nervous (I normally wear an extra small), but I also love an oversized sweater paired with slim bottoms, like skinny jeans or vegan leather leggings, so it actually turned out to be perfect. The marled brown shade is my favourite, but it also comes in a gorgeous soft grey and jade green. This sweater is soft and thick and not at all itchy, but bear in mind that it truly is an oversized sweater.
For this look, I paired the sweater with my darkest skinny jeans (the Current/Elliot Stiletto Skinny Jean) and comfortable taupe booties (mine are Kenneth Cole and no longer available, but I’ve linked my three favourite pairs that are currently available here, here, and here). The brown shade works so well with my favourite Burberry bag, which I have been neglecting of late, so I was glad to have an excuse to pull it out. Although I love this look, I also have visions of pairing this sweater with an eyelash lace-trimmed camisole, but have yet to find the perfect one (if you can recommend one, please let me know if the comments!). Although this sweater has a great weekend vibe, I can also see wearing it with a great pair of heels for a casual-chic look.
I love great sweaters and at $23.99 USD, this one is a pretty great steal. Visit the SheIn site and you can also get 40% off until October 31. I will warn you in advance that shipping takes quite a while (often about a three weeks) so bear that in mind when placing an order.
Enjoy the pretty things in life,
