The weather took a drastic nosedive towards fall yesterday, which got me thinking about the next season’s fashion. I love that fall means crisp mornings that require cozy sweaters, with afternoons that warm up with the golden sunlight. During the brief fall in Edmonton, I reach for a combination of dresses and boots to keep me warm and cool at the same time. This fall, I am loving the boho feel of a floral dress paired with over the knee boots so today I am sharing some of my top picks of both for the cooler weather around the corner.
I love the dark floral prints that are popping up everywhere this fall. A few of my favourites are:
Old Navy Floral Crepe Dress – $39.94
Loft Floral Print Dress – $121.05
Old Navy Pintucked Swing Dress – $39.94
These dresses would look equally cute with a pair of low booties or with tights in the winter months. Throw on a long cardigan or a leather jacket to keep warm and look endlessly chic.
Over-the-knee boots have been THE boot trend for the last couple of years and I absolutely love them. Whether you chose a flat style or a high-heeled version, otk boots look amazing with dresses, jeans, leggings and just about everything in between. While I haven’t splurged on a pair of Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots (yet), I did invest in a very reasonable dupe this year by Steve Madden (and linked below). Here are someone my favourite otk boots for under $200:
Steve Madden Odessa – $140.00 (I am in LOVE with these boots and they are ridiculously comfortable.)
Aldo Jeffers Boots – $198.00
All of the boots linked above come in multiple colours, from classic black, to trendy taupe, to perfect-for-fall cognac and deep olive green (both of which are next on my list!).

Enjoy the pretty things in life,
