It’s February, but already the spring items are starting to pop up in stores; lighter colours and layers are just around the corner. While I’m excited at the prospect of warmer temperatures, I’m not sure I’m ready to let go of my favourite winter pieces. Cozy sweaters, tights and leather leggings, blazers – they’re all items I love that won’t be as wearable in a few months. And that kind of bums me out.
I love a good sweater dress and this one from Aritzia is cozy, yet feels lightweight. It’s so incredibly soft that I barely feel like I’m wearing a sweater at all, let alone one that is made from a wool blend. Since I find wool a bit itchy and uncomfortable (don’t even get me started on mohair), I definitely appreciate that. As the temperature slowly rises, I’ll pair it with over the knee boots in the comings weeks, at least until spring really arrives. For now, tights, my practically-glued-to-my-feet booties (seriously one of the best investments I’ve ever made) and my (perhaps overused?!) black Tory Burch handbag, plus a Moto jacket for an edgy vibe all make this outfit a great late winter look.
Spring may be just around the corner, but I’ll enjoy some winter favourites as long as I can.
Enjoy the pretty things in life,
