Every once in a while, we all need a pick me up. Whether it’s for someone special or for yourself, to brighten a dreary day or to say I love you, flowers convey so many wonderful emotions and make the recipient feel appreciated. I often pick up a few blooms this time of year, whether it’s some tulips from the grocery store or a full on bouquet to make my house feel more spring-like after the long, cold winter.
I love to share new finds with all of you, so today, I’m sharing a bit about Callia Flowers, creators of farm-fresh bouquets you can order online in Edmonton, Vancouver, and Winnipeg. These gorgeous hand-tied blooms are some of the loveliest flower arrangements I’ve seen, with farmer’s market charm that you really can’t find this time of year (at least not in Edmonton). Packaged in a lovely box, well-wrapped and with everything you need to make them last, the available Callia bouquets are changed out every 4-6 weeks to ensure that there is always something lovely and seasonal available. I love this idea because it means no two bouquets are exactly alike! They also feature a subscription service, which is a great option if you always love having flowers in your home.
I received the gorgeous Joy bouquet in the middle of a very snowy Thursday, just in time for Easter and at the perfect moment to remind me that spring really is here, even if the Edmonton weather doesn’t agree. My arrangement featured beautiful deep red tulips, sweet waxflower, stunning greenery, and pussy willows that made a perfect early spring mix. I also love Callia’s other current bouquets, The Grace (which features my favourite spring flower, hydrangeas!) and Elle Rose, which has a lovely spray of roses with eucalyptus mixed in. After nearly a week, my arrangement is still going strong. I love that Callia provides easy to follow instructions to keep your blooms alive, because I have no green thumb at all and tend to kill plants!
With summer just around the corner (no, seriously, it really is!), I am dying to see what they do with some of my favourite summer flowers. I love what they’ve done with spring blooms; just imagine what they can do with peonies!!
Enjoy the pretty things in life,
Please note that I received this product for review purposes. That said, this review reflects my honest opinion of Callia Flowers and my experience with them.
