If there’s one thing I stock up on, it’s fun tops in a variety of colours and patterns. I mean let’s be honest – you can make the same pair of jeans look completely different just by changing up your tops (and maybe your shoes as well, but that’s another post). I love my classic basics, like neutral sweaters and cozy cardigans (yes, fall and winter are coming), but I also love to incorporate some cute and trendy tops into the mix, especially when they don’t break the bank.
During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, many bloggers shared an adorable bell sleeve, asymmetrical hemline top that looked amazing with jeans, leggings, and even shorts. Sadly, due to my travels, I missed out on it, so when I found a similar top (for half the price!) via SheIn, I grabbed it immediately. This versatile black top looks equally cute with the items I mentioned about (I’ve tried all three, as you can see here) and the light black crepe makes it a versatile piece as we head into those transitional months where one minute, the temperature is cool and fall-like and the next, it’s blazing hot (seriously, that is September in Alberta). And classic black will work all winter long – this top would look fantastic paired with skinny jeans and a sleek blazer during the winter months.
I also picked up the cutest embroidered top that also features two of my favourite things – stripes and bell sleeves! This one looks perfect with jeans and sandals for weekend adventures. I also love the idea of pairing it with cognac over-the-knee boots for a more fall-inspired look. Who says we have to leave ALL the cute summer trends in the warmer months?
For cute and trendy pieces that won’t break the bank, I love the choices available through SheIn (see this post and this post to find out more about shopping with a fast fashion retailer like SheIn). I’m excited to pair these two tops with my favourite bottoms all fall (and winter) long.
Enjoy the pretty things in life,
