I’ve had a few questions lately about what products I use when it comes to makeup and hair, so today I’m sharing my current beauty routine. This summer, I’ve really pared down my daily routine and I have to say that I love it so much, I’m probably going to keep it this way long-term. Here are some of my secrets so you can try them out too!
I wear THIS SUNSCREEN every single day and it not only protects my skin and keeps sunspots away, it also mattifies my skin just a little bit. To keep my skin from getting too greasy, I do skip moisturizer underneath, but I use THIS HEAVY DUTY MOISTURIZER at night to make sure my skin stays totally hydrated.
I’ve stopped wearing liquid foundation and the result has been amazing. My skin consistently looks and feels clearer and even my hormonal zits have become less problematic. I still love the idea of wearing foundation, but given my results, I’m pretty happy to stick with powder as much as possible.
I use THIS, THIS, and THIS to even my skin tone and create a very slight glow. I break the rules and use the bronzer all over my face to illuminate it slightly. I want to try THIS FOUNDATION POWDER next.
THIS ILLUMINATOR is the best budget beauty buy I’ve ever found. I use it to lightly highlight my cheeks after applying my blush (I adore THIS ONE and THIS ONE) and I use it on my lids to give just a slight shimmer, which is a great alternative to shadow!
A swipe of THIS LIPGLOSS has been my go-to all summer long. It offers just a hint of colour without being sticky. I wore it every day during my vacation and it consistently left my lips feeling soft.
I don’t blow dry my hair. Ever. I switched to THIS SHAMPOO and THIS CONDITIONER, both of which are great budget buys and I love the way my hair looks with them. Silicone is definitely a no no, but it takes time to get used to it.
I do occasionally use THIS CURLING WAND or THIS CURLING IRON to give my hair a bit of curl, but most of the time, I embrace my inner French girl by twisting it into a low bun while it dries and then tousling the resulting waves into some kind of hairdo (I hope).
