Remember back before Christmas when I first shared this gorgeous satin skirt and I promised you could wear it all winter long? Well today’s post shows you exactly how you can do it and stay warm and cozy at the same time!
First of all, the best news is that this skirt is back in stock online. It was very popular during the holiday season and I was so excited to see that it was back again because it really is such a great piece. The satin is very sturdy, which means that it will keep the perfect bell shape that I love about it, but that also means it doesn’t have a lot of give. This skirt runs small – I am normally a size 0-2 in skirts and this one is a size 6, but honestly, I’d almost like an 8 (partly because I need to cut out the sweets). There are a couple of similar versions of this skirt that I have also linked below that would make great options as well.
For this cozy look, I paired it with a black marl funnel neck sweater (mine is no longer available, but I have linked some great alternatives in the Shop The Post section at the end of this and you can also find them over on the Shop My Instagram page), which gives an otherwise fancy skirt a more casual vibe that I absolutely love. Over-the-knee boots and my Rebecca Minkoff Love Crossbody were the final touch for this fun look.
I was inspired to create this look after seeing something similar on Pinterest months ago, and while I waited a while to finally put it together, I will definitely have this look on repeat. It was so fun and surprisingly warm (the major benefit of wearing otk boots!). I love the all black palette of this look, but I have a similar sweater in grey and am thinking I may have to try it out too.
A fancy satin skirt really doesn’t have to be reserved for special occasions like the holidays. All you need are the right pieces to dress it down a little bit and you have a perfectly chic winter look. And trust me when I say that you do not want to miss out on this gorgeous skirt while it is back in stock!
Enjoy the pretty things in life,
